Witchy Wednesdays- Pokeweed

Poke weed is a Native American perennial with clusters of fragrant white flowers and purple berries, it can grow to a height of around 10 feet high and has a reddish stem. Pokeweed likes sunny areas and can be found in fields or edges of forests. Pokeweed can be used In exorcisms, purging actions like the purging of the body of spiritual as well as physical poisons. An infusion of pokeweed can break hexes and protect an area from negativity the berry juice makes a good magical ink and can be used in place of blood in rituals. Pokeberry juice may be added to other juices and jellies to help relieve arthritis. Pokeweed is toxic in high doses however. The berries are the least toxic part and the roots are the most toxic part.
